TOM PETERS TO SERVE AS NEXT MCB PRESIDENT

Tom Peters, President, Missouri Center for the Book

The Missouri Center for the Book has elected a new slate of officers for 2015, with Tom Peters, Springfield, Missouri, assuming the position of President.  Tom is the director and a founding member of the Ozark Chapter of the MCB.  He is the Dean of Library Services at Missouri State University with nearly thirty years experience as an academic librarian.  Highly respected by students and colleagues alike, Tom is known for his sense of fair play, and his tireless enthusiasm for the advancement of literacy in Missouri.

The other officers are:  Jim Baumlin, Vice President; Mary Northrup, Secretary and Kristina Makansi, Treasurer.

Larisa Cassell, retiring MCB President, will remain an active member of the Missouri Center for the Book.
